A Bit About Me

Well I was born 24 years ago to a farming family in the outlands of the city state of Melmonia, one of the Far Coast states of the Wangate Empire. My father was an Elf and he had owned the farm for over 200 years and my mother was his third wife. I have many brothers and sister- some of whom are much older than me- and there are even a couple that I haven't met.

My father managed to keep his farm both through the Zacharan invasion and the subsequent 'relief' by the Wangate people - but he finally lost it in the last in the last war with the barbarians from the mountains, when the whole of Melmonia was destroyed.

I was quite a weak child, and was educated at home for most of my early life, I was taught how to read and do figures and was given an good understanding of how the farm worked. It was clear that I would never be able to do much manual work around the farm, but father had me overseeing some of the work and helping with the accounts and books. I think it was their intention to keep me at home for a while and perhaps make me one of the farm managers. But then the war came and I was sent away quite early on. Father gave me latter of introduction to an old friend of his, Reece Epyo, and sent me away to study with him.

Reece took me under his wing and introduced me to studying - first he set me studying languages - and then gave me free reign to study where I liked. This kindled my interest and I started to study more about plants and how they worked. This lead me into a study of Fungi and herbs- particularly how they could be used as medicines. My medicinal interests were sparked by the discovery that I am a natural healer and can sometimes help people even without the herbal preparations.

Then Reece moved to Angasa and became Deputy Consul and started giving me various tasks to do to assist him in his work. He insisted that I learned how to defend my self and with my skill in languages asked me to host various visiting guests on occasion.

Cooking has always been a hobby of mine, and I was the main cook in Reece's house in Angasa, my interest in herbs and fungi, along with all the practice, has certainly helped improve my cooking skills over the last few years.

Most recently Reece asked me to go along on an expedition visiting all the villages along the Galinian coast. There are a number of other people on the trip who are involved with trade and keeping the route safe, but my main job is to talk to the farmers and see if I can help them improve their farming techniques. I am also the cook for the party and expected to help out, occasionally, with nursing duties.

In between time I have been trying to find out how my family fared in the war - I know the farm has gone - and I believe my parents, and some of my brothers, were killed in the fighting. I have one sister who know lives in the Razadi islands, but am still looking for the rest of my siblings.
