Today we left Angasa aboard a ship called The Midnight Sky. The captain is a strange fellow, called Flower, dressed in a blue robe. They took great care in stowing our belongings but we were made to stay on the open deck throughout the journey.

My companions are lead by a man called Rolf, who comes from one of the Norse villages, he has been made Constable-Warder of the area - I haven't had a chance to talk to him, but he seems a reasonable man. He is clearly a warrior of some type, he is dressed in studded leather armour and carries a fairly large sword. He certainly looks the part of a Constable-Warder

There are two other warriors with us. The first is a giant of a man, called Callum, with barbarous tattoos and a woad stripe across his face, dressed as the wild men of legend in furs and a torc. He carries a huge sword that looks fearsome and must require both hands to weild properly. The other warrior is Madelyn, a female Warrior-Priest from the Temple. She has a horse and a suit of chain mail armour, for which she seems greatly concerned, she is armed with a sword and lance, and is, presumably, an expert in mounted combat.

I thought, for a moment that Callum and Madelyn were going to argue, but the two of them made their peace and then seemed to become companionable with our Constable-Warder. It is interesting how like seems to match well with like.

There is a strange fellow called Aenis, he wears a metal skullcap, robes and has scars all over his face. He is reputed to be trained in the arcane arts, but kept himself to himself - so who can tell?

Our merchant is called Kerim, and he is a minor member of a well-respected Angasan trading family. I have seen him around occasionally, but never really spoken to him. I wonder what he did to get sent on a mission like this. From what I remember of him, his history has more to do with sea trading rather than land based. Still, he must have is own reasons for coming, I suppose.

The second woman is called Elsbeth of the Treveri family, and it appears that she is related to The Treveri himself. Still she was pleasant to me, especially when the gnome played tricks on me. We were having a quiet conversation by the ships rail when the gnome, Mandrake, used a ventriloquism spell to embarrass me in front of her. He thought it funny and no doubt his companion Smilo thought so too.

Mandrake claims to be an interpreter from Deepdelve, presumably out to see the world. Smilo, on the other hand, is a loafer from Angasa- what he is doing here I don’t know. He even over did the bow and flourished his hat when he greeted Elsbeth, showing off his bald spot into the bargain too.

We were only on The Midnight Sky for a couple of hours, but when we docked we were met in style. Richard Briganda, Earl of Galinia - Segovax Treveri, Treveri of the Treveris and Jen Jensen the Viscount and war hero were all at the dock to greet us.

Then there was a banquet in the evening and we were the guests of honour. What more could we ask for? There was wine and beer and wild boar and all sorts of other dishes - there were bards and other entertainers too. It was a lovely evening, and I got to speak to the Earl and Jen Jensen as well as The Treveri.

When we finally got to bed - I slept really well. Which, I suppose, is not very surprising after a party like that.
