A clear dry day today, with only light cloud.

We woke and broke our fast in a fairly sombre mood for it was Yuri's trial today. When we were all assembled Edwy and Yuri entered the circle both carried weapons although neither were armed. Yuri found it difficult to apologise for his behaviour and Rolf had to go and speak with him before he apologised sufficiently to please Edwy. At which point Edwy announced formally that the apology was accepted and there was no further cause of insult. I though he was going to have to fight for a while, I was worried that a couple of our hotheads would start a full-blown fight! I am not sure what I would have done.

Then Rolf hassled us to get us out of Dincoac as fast as he could after that, I guess he thought the same as I did. It upset Elsbeth though and she was in tears and had a go at him as we were about to leave - but they finished up on good terms again pretty soon after.

Flea came down with swamp sickness and had to stay behind, they say she should be OK in a couple of weeks. I sure hope so. Smilo came over all protective and insisted on staying behind so there was someone there she knew, rather than just strangers. I think there was an element of racial pride in it too.

Still when we finally got on the road, it was a relief, I think for all of us. It wasn't long before we left the swamp behind as well. Then the journey became very pleasant - just wandering along, keeping an eye out for the wildlife and enjoying the weather.
