Callum's doghead goes down and Madelyn moves to intercept the other doghead attacking the party. Her lance catches the doghead under the gorget and crashes through his body, appearing on the other side. Just for an instant it looks as if Madelyn is unseated but at the last moment she remembers to drop the lance. The doghead, carried 4 feet backwards, crashes to the floor dead.
Elsbeth catches her wolf with the scimitar and it yelps in pain. The arrow and the sword cut seem to have stolen its reserve, because it starts to slink away with its tail between its legs. The second wolf leaps towards the donkey, but the donkey suddenly rears up and put it off it strike.
Rolf moves to intercept the nearest wolf and swings mightily, but misses. The wolf leaps for Rolf's throat, but its jaws clamp together without catching flesh. (Dex check at 2 for full attack score else -2 to hit)
Peter's spell catches the Doghead with the bars and then he hurries to take the reigns from Kerim, freeing him for combat. Kerim moves forward to take on the closest wolves, swings and makes slight contact. The wolf, again leaping for the throat, misses. (Dex check at 2 for full attack score else -2 to hit)
The second wolf by-passes Kerim and leaps for Peter, Smilo moves to a safer position and Mandrake holds his ground.
Another Arrow whistles into the helpless Aenis and he writhes on the floor in agony. A second arrow strikes the ground just in front of Elsbeth's Horse.

Callum looks at the entangled Doghead and wolf, helplessly awaiting his sword and then leaps over the corpses of his previous victims and rushes forward swinging his immense sword around at the wolf slinking away from Elsbeth, but the wolf ducks under the blow.
OOC: Bugger, missed!
Scrambling to get the shot out of his pouch, the thongs, drawstrings, and so on, until he has it, only to have it pop from his fingers like a melon seed. "Necht!" mutters Smilo under his breath, plunging back into the pouch to tease out another. OOC: rolled a 1!
OOC: Rolled a 13 on the Dex check. On the attack roll, needed a 12, got a 16, but only for 5 points damage.
Dodging to the side, Rolf spins and slashes the blade in a strong downward angle to the left. He feels the blade dig into the flank of the wolf, leaving a bloody gash. Damn, if he hadn't mistimed the swing, there'd be a dead wolf at his feet. Taking the blade one handed, he pulls his axe free and stand ready to continue the battle with the beast.
Looking around at the combat and noting just how large the creatures are, Mandrake decides on a change of tactics. Spotting the Doghead running, he assumes, towards the mule train or the combat with the wolves, he crawls on his hands and knees through the bushes emerging (at JKn) so that he is clear to spin his sling.
He times his emergence so that the Doghead is committed to it’s run (row l) and so even if it notices him will have to react and change direction.
Cranking up the sling he shoots at the Doghead at Pq, not wanting to hit either the mules or his friends if the shot misses.
Releasing the bullet, he curses under his breath as the bullet flies into the bushes near to the Doghead sending a few leaves flying into the air and fluttering on the light breeze.
Elsbeth smiles in relief as the wolf slinks away, then nearly jumps out of her skin as the warrior rushes forward to do battle. "I'd be thinking that its safer to stay out of his way," she whispers to herself.
Hearing Aenis' cries, she quickly kneels beside him, what with the wolf now occupied. Her eyes widen at the protruding arrows, the flowing blood. With a prayer, she carefully lays her hands on him, allowing the healing powers of the land course through her to him. For that brief moment, the combat about her is ignored.

Peter goes to take the reigns of the lead animal, when suddely it rears up to defend itself from an attacking wolf. A second wolf leaps to the attack and Peter drops the reigns and thrusts his dagger forward. In the rush the aim is poor, and the dagger slides past the wolf's ear.
Madelyn drops the lance and turns
Keldon, she heads back towards the mules, drawing her sword in the
process. On reaching the line, she makes a plunge at the wolf
attacking the donkey, and misses. OOC: Do you want any rolls for staying on?
