Rolf frowns, again managing only to understand the bare minimum of the words of the Gila. They were inviting them to stay, or so he guesses. He clears his throat and says to Mandrake, "I think it's best to press on, ask them about the trunk." He faces what appears to be the lead Gila and sketches a brief bow, "Our thanks to the people of the Gila."

Turning to the Gila leader he says, "Your offer is good, but we are in a hurry to travel on. If you would be so kind as move the log, we hurry to our destination and tell them of our new friends the Gila, tell them this is a safe way to travel and there is a good place to stop and rest, protected as Gila guests."
