Raven call upon Tyr to give him aid as he rushes towards the battle, closely followed by the others from the advance party

While the others go through their various diversionary tactics.

Amok is perhaps the most successful, as the two free hounds, sensing their quarry after so long, leap forward to attack him accompanied by a shout from the lead doghead. His club catches one a glancing blow, but he seems to have a charmed existence as he dodges out of the way of both attacks.

Callum, however, has less luck. The hound with its teeth set in his leg doesn't release its grip, but worries at the large warrior's leg. (Callum 3 points damage). He swings his great sword at the beast, but his blow doesn't have his full strength behind it, and barely seems to graze the animal.

The other two start - first noticing Meeleek's casting and look towards each other, and then seeing Mandrakes actions where he moons them and shouts insults. Its not clear that they understand the insults, but when accompanied by the actions, the intent is clear. They take a couple of paces forwards and then hesitate as they remember Meeleek's casting, and then step back again Confused the vacillate between attack and withdrawal, and finish up stuck, undecided.

While Edgar sits in his bush, head flicking back and forth between the dogheads and Mandrake.

Looking around Amok realises that he is in an area where only a few stunted trees grow. And even they are surrounded by the clumps of bushes that grow all over the region.

Edgar

Whilst Mandrake's actions are still beyond his understanding, Edgar notes that the Dogheads share his confusion, not least that they do not understand the insults that the gnome showers upon them.

"What good the Word if these creatures do not understand it," he mutters to himself in frustration, wanting to assist the party, but unable to do so.

Kerim Alakani

** EDITED June 4, 2002, 11:28 am **

Many apologies, add to my list of woes an eye infection. Rotten luck of late.

Seeing little option than to join the fray Kerim drops his bow to the ground and with Cutlass in one hand and Katar in the other runs screaming into battle amid a flurry of curses.

That o'GM should be attack one of the dogs, and to keep in a group too.

I see the die roller still doesn't like me.

Grabbing
[edit] [delete]

Selina

the knife she picked up, Selina curses at her weakness and pushes past Peter west in front of the bushes (in general direction of the red skinned beast man) freeing herself of Peter's grasp before he can hold her body.

While not directly enage the animals, she begins shouting hoarsely at the animals in a language unknown to even her companions, raising her knives as if to attack, and circling near the beasts

(ooc: am semi returned from the hospital, hope not to go back)
No Way Out!
[edit] [delete]

Amok

Finding no way out, Amok, tries his dam darnedest to lead the rabid dogs away from the others in the fray. Amok is not confident, after so long a run, that he can defeat two such beasts. But if they were his only quarry, then he is better off than before! He dances, he prances, he leaps and bounds! Dodging first one way, then a comnpletyely different direction! His dodge is well practiced amoung his kind! He leads the two interested dogs off, away from the rest.

But he begins to realize his delima. He is seperated from the main fighting force. He has served his purpose, leading away a portion of the enemy's forces. He may win, he may draw, he may die. These are everyday considerations for a man of his people. Amok loses no time trying to decide if his actions are right. He knows how to act in a group, even when the group is not his.

He will fight the dogs as they near enough for a swing by his club. But he will not attempt to engage these foes. He will only do his best to lead these combatants away from the battle!

"AWAYEEEE! Stoopted Anymles! Follow De LeDDER!! MoNGRELS oF DiRt!!"
